![]() When we did him for Yasindra's Chromaggus, I decided to use my Shango for her HP glitch. I had better than green equipment on my hunter when I tamed him - probably what Darknez is currently wearing on the armory view. I used another Core Hound's Ancient Hysteria to speed up the tame for Chrommagus - but I don't think that was necessary. I will point out however that Chromaggus CAN be all depends on which affliction you've gotten him with, the Bronze affliction which stuns might cause problems.ĭarknez wrote:Easily done with 4 level 80s (in my case guildies) that's for sure - just let them know what to do at the "awkward" encounters (mainly Razorgore! - but expect a death or 2 at Vaelastrasz the Corrupt). If you're level 85 then.well yeah you're going to be kicking around in so much health that it's not going to matter. The shield and the speed buff meant I was taming at 6 seconds and only took 1 hit. ![]() The only Drake that may be a problem is one that applies a debuff to the main tank which means he heals for 35k health every time he hits that tank however if everyone is level 85 it really isn't a huge problem and you can always use widow poison to cut that heal down.Īs for Chromaggus.well because I was level 69 I had the priest throw a shield on me, used a throwaway Corehound from Molten core to buff me with Ancient Hysteria, dismiss the Corehound, pull the lever and go straight into the tame. I was in control of Razorgore, the Tank (a warrior) sat ontop of me as did the healer and the warlocks, the tank would pick up the adds, the two warlocks would AoE them down and the Priest would keep everyone topped off, I noticed that the priest did use her shield to stop the mind exhaustion debuff applying on me but I was able to control Razorgore the entire time with no breaks.Īfter that the fights are really easy, the suppression room will be hell without a Rogue for disarming the traps though but if you've got enough AoE you can slowly make your way across and just kill off all the adds as you go. You'll definitely need a tank and a healer of some kind if only for Razorgore, who is probably the hardest part in the instance for small teams (the other bosses are a DPS race or Tank and Spank). Hmm I did this at level 69 rather than 85. So the Question is: What is the easiest way to get to Chomaggus, What classes would be best to acompany my Hunter, what is absolutely necessary (I guess a healer is a must have, but do I need a Tank for example or would my pet-beetle just do fine?) and is there any way to skip unnecessary fights? I just tried it a few times but there have always been fights we could not get through with the line-up (mostly Razorgore, I admit ). (they usually have lots of new content to go through and don't care for classics) My primary Concern is not taming Chromaggus himself (I assume this to be fairly easy, but correct me if I'm wrong), but the whole dungeon you have to run through to get to him and that it is hard to get people into Blackwing Lair these days. It starts (and more often than not also ends) with Razorgore, a fight which requires several people doing different things. I mostly blame the boss mechanics Blackwing Lair which is not that easy to do even when you are 85. ![]() If I'm not entirely mistaken Chromaggus is now tameable, though few hunter have that unique fellow in their collection.
